Alexander Isak remains fully committed to Newcastle United’s season, brushing aside contract speculation as he prepares for a crucial run of games.
The Swedish-Eritrian striker, whose current deal runs until 2028, has yet to enter discussions over an extension but remains unfazed by the situation.
“I said I’m not really thinking about the summer,” the sought-after striker stated at his Carabao Cup final media conference, but assured: “But yes, that will be a topic of conversation after the season is over. We’ll see, because so far there have been no talks (with Newcastle).”
Isak has emerged as one of Europe’s most in-demand forwards, with a staggering €145m valuation. Despite the growing interest from top clubs, he insists his focus is solely on his performances.
“I’m not really thinking about my future. I’ve said many times during a season that I should just focus on my work, and now is probably the worst time to think about anything else.”
For now, Newcastle fans can rest easy knowing their star striker is locked in on delivering results.
