Aldair Ferreira linked with Cong An HCMC move after leaving FC Botosani

Angolan-Portuguese midfielder Aldair Ferreira, currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Vietnamese V.League 1 side Cong An HCMC.

Ferreira, 28, plays as a defensive midfielder and became unattached after leaving Romanian club FC Botosani on 1 July 2026. The proposed move would take him to Vietnam, with Cong An HCMC identified as his potential destination.

The Luanda-born player has a career market value of €550,000 and has previously played in Portugal, Bulgaria, Greece, Lithuania and Romania. His transfer to FC Botosani in January 2024 was completed on a free transfer from Lithuania’s Dziugas.

Ferreira has made 51 appearances in the Toplyga, scoring twice and providing six assists. He has also recorded 51 appearances in the SuperLiga, where he scored twice, alongside appearances in domestic cup competitions in Romania, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Portugal.

No transfer fee or contract details have been established in connection with the reported move to Cong An HCMC. Ferreira’s current status means any agreement would concern a player who is not tied to a club, following the end of his time at FC Botosani.

The rumour remains at the linking stage, with Ferreira listed as without a club while Cong An HCMC are named as the interested V.League 1 side.
