Albert Adomah made an instant impact off the bench as Walsall edged past Notts County 3-2 in a thrilling League Two clash at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.
The head-to-head record was dead even coming into this game, with both teams boasting four wins and four draws. It seemed destined to be another close affair, and the fans were not disappointed.
Walsall opened the scoring in the 57th minute through a Taylor Allen screamer from distance. George Hall doubled the lead in the 64th, firing a low shot past the keeper after a clever Nathan Lowe assist.
Notts County fought back as David McGoldrick converted a penalty in the 74th minute. Adomah entered in the 75th and wasted no time in making his mark. His perfectly weighted pass set up Nathan Lowe for Walsall’s third in the 86th minute.
A stunning stoppage-time goal by Jack Hinchy narrowed the gap, but Walsall held firm to claim the victory.
