Alassane Guèye: Ouakam left winger linked with move to France’s Stade Reims

Stade Reims are being linked with a move for Senegalese winger Alassane Guèye from US Ouakam.

The 18-year-old left winger, valued at €125,000 on Transfermarkt, is the subject of fresh speculation suggesting the French club are monitoring his progress in Senegal’s Ligue 1. The reported probability of the move remains unclear, with the rumour listed simply as “?” and no agreement or formal bid confirmed between the clubs.

Guèye, who wears the number 10 shirt for Ouakam, only stepped up from US Ouakam’s U20 side to the senior team on 1 July 2024 for the 2024-25 season. Born on 18 March 2007 in Dakar, the right-footed attacker has been developing exclusively within the Ouakam set-up, building his reputation as a left-sided forward in Senegal’s top flight.

Details of his contract length with Ouakam have not been disclosed, leaving open the possibility that he could become a free agent in the near future if no extension is agreed. That uncertainty is likely to fuel further transfer talk, particularly if Reims view the teenager as a low-cost, high-upside option for the future.

In a recent league outing for Ouakam against domestic rivals in Senegal’s Ligue 1 – a tight encounter that finished 1-1 earlier this month – Guèye featured prominently on the left flank, underlining why his name has begun to surface in European scouting circles. While exact goal and assist tallies from that match are not listed, his performances at senior level at just 18 have been enough to see his market value established at €125k as of 27 February 2026.

If a move to Reims in France does eventually materialise, it would mark Guèye’s first step outside Senegal and could prove a pivotal moment in shaping his career trajectory and reputation on the European stage.
