Lorient midfielder Alain Traoré is set to face a significant period on the sidelines after sustaining a serious ankle injury during the 18th day of play. Medical examinations revealed a serious ankle sprain, leading to the decision for Traoré to undergo ankle immobilization with resin for three weeks. As a result, the Burkinabe player is expected to be unavailable for about a month, with his return to competition not anticipated before the end of January. This injury also rules him out of participation in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) with Burkina Faso. Traoré, 23, has scored six goals in 13 matches for Lorient.
