Al-Wehdat SC monitoring Raja Athletic Club forward Mohammad Abu Zureiq
Jordanian club Al-Wehdat SC are closely monitoring the situation of Mohammad Abu Zureiq at Raja Athletic Club.
The forward’s future at Raja remains uncertain, with reports suggesting that the Moroccan giants could either terminate his contract or consider sending him out on loan as they continue to shape their squad for the upcoming campaign.
According to reports, Al-Wehdat have identified the Jordanian international as one of their potential targets should he become available during the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Jordanian side are already familiar with Sharara’s qualities, having previously benefited from his services. The winger represented Al-Wehdat two seasons ago and enjoyed a successful spell with the club, producing a number of impressive performances and playing a role in their Jordan Cup triumph.
His previous experience with the club is believed to be one of the major reasons behind Al-Wehdat’s interest, with the management viewing him as a player who could quickly adapt to the team and make an immediate impact.
Al-Wehdat could open negotiations with Raja Casablanca and the player should the Moroccan club make an official decision to end his contract or make him available for a loan move.
The Jordanian club are particularly interested in strengthening their squad after losing several key players during the current transfer period.
His familiarity with the club, combined with his experience at both domestic and international level, makes him an attractive option as Al-Wehdat look to rebuild their squad ahead of the new season.
However, any potential deal could prove financially challenging for the Jordanian side.
The forward is reportedly under contract with Raja Casablanca for another two seasons, while his current deal is said to carry significant financial terms.
As a result, Al-Wehdat are expected to carefully assess the financial implications of any possible move before entering into formal negotiations.
The Jordanian club are keen to ensure that any agreement falls within their financial capabilities, particularly if Raja demand compensation for the player’s departure.
A loan deal could therefore emerge as a more realistic option for Al-Wehdat should Raja decide against permanently parting ways with the Jordanian international.
Under such a scenario, Al-Wehdat could explore the possibility of bringing Sharara back to the club on a temporary basis, allowing the player to regain regular playing time while also reducing the immediate financial burden of a permanent transfer.
For the player, a potential return to Al-Wehdat could also provide an opportunity to revive his career and regain the form that made him an important player during his previous spell with the Jordanian club.
The winger’s performances during his earlier stint left a positive impression, particularly after helping Al-Wehdat secure the Jordan Cup, and the club’s supporters remain familiar with his qualities.
For now, however, Al-Wehdat are waiting for clarity on Raja Casablanca’s plans before taking concrete steps.
The Jordanian side are expected to monitor developments closely and could make an approach if Raja officially decide to terminate the player’s contract or make him available for a loan.
Meanwhile, Raja Casablanca have already been active in the summer transfer market, successfully completing the signings of three players as they continue preparations for the upcoming season.
The forward’s situation is therefore expected to become clearer as Raja finalise their squad, with Al-Wehdat ready to explore the possibility of bringing the Jordanian international back to the club if the circumstances are favourable.
