Al-Wakrah’s assistant coach, Ousmane Koulibaly from Mali, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to overcome Maither in the upcoming Prince’s Cup Round of 16 match scheduled for Thursday.
Speaking at a press conference today, Koulibaly stated, “We are confident in our ability to continue our journey and accomplish the important task of defeating Maither and advancing to the quarter-finals of the Prince’s Cup.”
Emphasizing the challenge ahead, he added, “My previous remarks do not imply that the match will be easy, but I have great faith in the ability of Al-Wakrah’s players to continue their winning streak after clinching the Qatar Cup.”
Koulibaly highlighted the significance of cup matches, stating, “Cup games are decided by small details and hold great importance. I hope we will be up to the task.”
Meanwhile, Al-Wakrah player Nasser Al-Yazidi affirmed that winning the Qatar Cup has provided his team with a significant morale boost to continue their journey in the Prince’s Cup.
He commented, “Prince’s Cup matches are different in nature and require focus. We need to set aside the celebrations of the Qatar Cup title and concentrate on the upcoming Maither match.”
