The Supreme Council for Media Regulation has ordered the suspension of Al Shams TV programme Malab Al Bulldozer, presented by Magdy Abdelghany, following a reported dispute involving regular guests Rabi Yassin and Osama Hassan.
The council approved recommendations from its Complaints Committee to summon the legal representative of Al Shams TV and halt the programme.
It also instructed all media organisations covered by Egypt’s Press and Media Regulation Law No. 180 of 2018 to prevent Rabi Yassin and Osama Hassan from appearing on their platforms until the council completes its investigation.
The action follows violations identified by the council’s General Administration of Monitoring during the edition of Malab Al Bulldozer broadcast on 19 September 2026.
The Media Syndicate had already summoned the programme’s production team and the two guests for questioning.
Media Syndicate president Tarek Saada ordered the attendance of the programme’s presenter, editor and director, as well as Yassin and Hassan, who appear as regular guests on the show’s Saturday episode.
Saada said the events during the programme were not suitable for Egyptian sports media.
He added that referring the team for investigation was intended to reinforce direct professional oversight by the syndicate’s Media Observatory.
