Al Shamal submit official offer for Al Ahly midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane
Qatari club Al Shamal have made an official approach to Egyptian giants Al Ahly regarding the possible signing of Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane during the ongoing summer transfer window.
As per reports, Al Shamal have contacted Al Ahly to explore the possibility of securing the services of the Tunisia international and have requested details about the financial conditions required to complete a potential transfer.
Al-Shamal’s proposal marks the beginning of discussions between the two clubs, with the club from Qatar looking to strengthen its midfield options ahead of the new season.
Ben Romdhane joined Al Ahly in the summer of 2025 from Hungarian side Ferencváros, arriving with a strong reputation after impressing in European football and with the Tunisian national team.
Since his arrival at the Cairo-based club, the midfielder has been considered an important addition to Al Ahly’s squad due to his technical ability, work rate and experience at both club and international level.
Besides, Al Ahly’s management has also received several enquiries in recent days regarding the player’s future. In addition, Al Ahly received calls from Qatar SC and one club from the Libyan league seeking information about Ben Romdhane’s availability and the possibility of negotiating a transfer.
However, Al Ahly have not yet made a final decision regarding the Tunisian midfielder, as the club continues to assess its squad plans ahead of the new campaign.
The Egyptian champions are expected to carefully consider any offers, given Ben Romdhane’s importance and the role the club believes he can play in upcoming domestic and continental competitions.
