Al-Sahel sign Ghana winger Joseph Akomadi from Khosilot
Ghanaian left winger Joseph Akomadi has joined Al-Sahel Club from Khosilot, completing a move that takes the 26-year-old to his latest challenge after a spell in Tajikistan.
Akomadi has signed a contract with Al-Sahel running until 30 June 2027. The 1.80m attacker, who favours his left foot, made the switch on 14 September 2026.
He arrives after representing Khosilot, whom he joined in January 2025 following a period without a club. His previous move before that was to Khosilot from Al-Naft SC, while his time in Tajikistan also included a spell with Ravshan Kulob.
Akomadi’s record in the Vysshaya Liga includes 57 appearances, 16 goals and 17 assists. He also has experience from appearances in the AFC Cup, Iraq Stars League, Turkey’s Super Lig and 1. Lig.
His career includes success in both Turkey and Tajikistan. Akomadi was part of the Hatayspor side that won the Turkish second tier in the 2019-20 season, before helping Ravshan Kulob secure the Tajikistan Super Cup in 2022-23.
The winger began his senior club career with Hatayspor after moving up from Hatayspor Under-21, having previously been with ASPIRE FD. He subsequently spent time without a club before joining Ravshan Kulob in March 2023.
Akomadi’s arrival adds a player with experience across several leagues to the Al-Sahel squad. His attacking role has primarily been on the left wing, where his career record includes 17 assists in the Vysshaya Liga alongside his 16 goals.
The move also marks another change of country for the Accra-born player, who has played in Turkey, Tajikistan and Iraq during his club career. He now continues that journey with Al-Sahel Club under a contract lasting through June 2027.
Akomadi has completed his move from Khosilot to Al-Sahel Club.
