Al-Sadd eye move for Al-Riyadh U21 defender Ahmed Khatir

Moroccan centre-back Ahmed Khatir is being linked with a move from Al-Riyadh U21 to Qatar Stars League club Al-Sadd.

Khatir, 21, joined Al-Riyadh U21 from Belgian side SK Beveren on 31 July 2025 in a deal reported at €400,000. The defender’s current market value is listed at €250,000.

The Casablanca-born player has made 10 appearances in the Challenger Pro League, scoring once, and has also featured for 120 minutes in the Croky Cup. He stands 1.87m tall and is right-footed.

Khatir’s previous move to SK Beveren came from AM Football in July 2023, before he spent two seasons in Belgium. His switch to Al-Riyadh U21 was his first recorded move to Saudi football.

Al-Sadd, who compete in Qatar’s top flight, have been linked with the defender as he continues his development at Al-Riyadh U21. No transfer fee or probability of a deal has been established.

Khatir remains under contract with Al-Riyadh U21 until 30 June 2028.
