Al Qadsiah deepen Manchester City links with Mohamed Sangare signing

Al Qadsiah have completed the signing of young French midfielder Mohamed Sangare from Manchester City, making him the second player to move from the English club to the Saudi side during the current summer transfer window.

The deal is part of Al Qadsiah’s strategy of investing in emerging talent while strengthening their first-team squad for the season ahead. Sangare’s arrival follows the earlier recruitment of Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, who also joined the “Knights” from Manchester City during this window.

Al Qadsiah confirmed the transfer through their official social-media accounts, welcoming Sangare with the phrase: “A Qadsiah player at the last moment.” The message referred to the timing of the agreement, which was completed in the final hours of the summer transfer period.

Sangare has signed a contract that will keep him at Al Qadsiah until 2029. The length of the agreement underlines the club’s intention to develop a team capable of competing over the long term, with the Frenchman becoming the latest part of that rebuilding plan.

Official images released to mark the player’s presentation showed Sangare wearing the number 30 shirt. He will now begin a new chapter in Saudi football after leaving Manchester City and joining Al Qadsiah.

The transfer further strengthens the relationship between the two clubs in the current market. Rather than being an isolated addition, Sangare’s move comes shortly after the completion of Reijnders’ transfer, giving Al Qadsiah two Manchester City recruits as they continue to shape their squad.

The club’s announcement described Sangare as a new addition to the first-team group, while the agreement through to 2029 gives him the opportunity to establish himself as part of Al Qadsiah’s plans for the future. His presentation in the number 30 shirt formally marked the start of his time with the Saudi club.

Al Qadsiah are therefore continuing to use the summer window to combine immediate squad building with investment in younger players. Sangare’s signing is the latest step in that approach and follows the same Manchester City route taken by Reijnders earlier in the window.
