Al-Nassr secure four academy prospects and sign two players to strengthen Saudi U21 squad
Al-Nassr have renewed the contracts of four of their most promising young players and added two new recruits as they seek to improve their fortunes in the Joui Elite League.
The Riyadh club announced on its official X account on 8 October 2026 that Abdulrahman Al-Anazi, Yousuf Al-Tahhan, Fawaz Al-Mashhour and Abdulrahman Sufiani had all agreed new deals.
Sufiani is considered the most notable member of the group. Al-Hilal tried to sign him twice, first while he was with Al-Kawkab before Al-Nassr secured his services in January 2023.
Two years later, Al-Hilal made another attempt to take Sufiani after he entered the final period of his contract with Al-Nassr. The club, however, reached an agreement to retain the young player for a further period.
In its announcement, Al-Nassr said: “Al-Nassr Club Company has completed the procedures to renew the contracts of four Al-Nassr talents: Abdulrahman Al-Anazi, Yousuf Al-Tahhan, Abdulrahman Sufiani and Fawaz Al-Mashhour.”
Sufiani’s new agreement is his second contract renewal with the club. He impressed during the previous edition of the Joui Elite League while playing for Al-Nassr Under-21s.
The club has also strengthened its youth set-up with the signing of Tunisia’s Yassin Sallam from Al-Ettifaq. Sallam, who was born in Saudi Arabia, has signed a professional contract with Al-Nassr.
“Al-Nassr Club Company has signed a professional contract with Tunisian player Yassin Sallam, born in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, coming from Al-Ettifaq,” the club said.
Sallam was not the only arrival. Al-Nassr also confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Abdulhadi Al-Alwan from Al-Fateh on loan until the end of the current season.
The club described the agreement as an official loan deal and wished Al-Alwan success with Al-Nassr.
The moves are intended to improve Al-Nassr’s position in the Joui Elite League, the Saudi Under-21 competition, where the team have struggled since the start of the current campaign.
Al-Nassr are 14th in the table with six points from two wins and two defeats. Their position leaves them at risk of failing to reach the quarter-finals at the end of the season.
