Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr have reignited their pursuit of Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, with the club reportedly targeting him as a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite the presence of high-profile players like Ronaldo and Sadio Mané, the allure of En-Nesyri’s talent continues to captivate the Saudi club, which is preparing for a significant move in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr’s top scorer last season with an impressive 35 goals, has started the current campaign in strong form.
However, the club’s overall performance has not matched expectations, and with Ronaldo’s age being a factor, Al-Nassr is planning for life after the Portuguese superstar.
Youssef En-Nesyri has emerged as their preferred candidate to fill that void.
Renewed Efforts to Secure En-Nesyri
Al-Nassr had previously attempted to sign En-Nesyri during the summer transfer window but failed to strike a deal.
The Moroccan forward had just joined Turkish side Fenerbahçe at the start of this season, making it difficult to lure him away.
Undeterred, Al-Nassr recently made a fresh offer of €34 million, an increase from their initial €30 million bid, according to Turkish outlet Melet.
However, Fenerbahçe, who value En-Nesyri at €22 million, have yet to accept the proposal.
