Al-Nassr boost squad with Coman and two more players back before Al-Diriyah derby

Al-Nassr have been boosted by the return of three players, including France winger Kingsley Coman, ahead of their Riyadh derby against Al-Diriyah.

The two sides will meet at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh on 9 October in the eighth round of the Roshn Saudi League.

According to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah, Coman and Saudi Arabia winger Abdulrahman Ghareeb took part in Al-Nassr’s group training on Tuesday after recovering from recent injuries.

Left-back Saad Al-Nasser is expected to rejoin the squad’s training on Wednesday after recovering from a hamstring injury which had kept him out in recent weeks.

The return of the three players provides a significant lift for Al-Nassr, who are currently dealing with a number of absences caused by injuries and the international break.

Seven players are away with their national teams. The group includes Saudi Arabia quartet Nawaf Boushal, Abdulelah Al-Amri, Abdullah Al-Hamdan and Abdullah Al-Khaibari, as well as Portugal pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Felix, and Iraq international Haider Abdulkarim.

Al-Nassr are third in the Roshn Saudi League table with 16 points from seven matches. They have recorded five wins, one draw and one defeat.

They are two points behind leaders Al-Hilal and one point adrift of second-placed Al-Ittihad.
