Ibrahim Touré, currently playing for AL Nasr since his departure from AS Monaco at the start of the season, has maintained his goal-scoring prowess. The top scorer in French Ligue 2 last year has scored 14 goals in the Dubai championship this season. Despite his success in the UAE, Touré is open to a return to Europe and has attracted interest during the transfer window from Spanish club Real Betis Sevilla.
Touré stated, “I know that clubs like Real Betis Sevilla (La Liga Spain) are in advanced negotiations with my club. But that doesn’t distract me in any way. It all depends on my club because the release clause is 6 million euros (approximately 4 billion CFA). Now I don’t know if my club is ready to release me. The Spaniards, for their part, are ready to pay whatever amount it takes to recruit me. In any case, I don’t manage these aspects. I want to stay focused exclusively on the sporting field. It’s true that I would really like to come back to Europe, but if it has to happen, it won’t be with just any team.”
Despite his success in Dubai, Touré has not been called up for the Teranga Lions selection since his transfer.
