Al-Merrikh SC sign Senegalese right-back Ndaraw Sarr from AJEL Rufisque
Senegalese right-back Ndaraw Sarr has joined Al-Merrikh SC from AJEL Rufisque, completing a move to the Sudanese club at the age of 18.
Sarr has signed a contract running until 30 June 2030. The defender arrives after one season with AJEL Rufisque, where he established himself in Ligue 1 and recorded 28 appearances.
The Dakar-born player played 2,129 minutes during that Ligue 1 campaign and provided one assist. He operates primarily at right-back and is naturally right-footed, giving Al-Merrikh a young defensive option for the seasons ahead.
Standing 1.77m tall, Sarr moved to AJEL Rufisque from AS Camberene in September 2025. That switch was completed as a free transfer, marking his first recorded move before his latest change of club.
Sarr’s arrival also represents a step away from the domestic Senegalese competition in which he made his name. His previous club was his base for the 2025-26 season, while Al-Merrikh now becomes the next destination in his developing career.
The defender’s market value is listed at €200,000, following a campaign in which his involvement extended beyond occasional appearances. He played more than 2,000 minutes in Ligue 1 and contributed directly to one goal through his assist.
Al-Merrikh have therefore secured the services of a Senegalese defender with recent top-flight experience and a long-term contract in place. Sarr’s move from AJEL Rufisque to Al-Merrikh SC was completed on 20 September 2026, with his agreement lasting until June 2030.
