Al Masry have decided to settle two months outstanding salaries of players after securing qualification to the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals.
The Egyptian outfit cruised to a 2-0 victory over Zambian side Zesco in the sixth and final round of Group D, ensuring their spot in the last eight of the competition.
Al Masry finished second in their group with 10 points, ahead of South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs, who had the same number of points, on goal difference, with fellow Egyptian outfit, Zamalek emerging as group winners with 11 points.
Prior to the final round of the Confederation Cup group stage games, Al Masry board had suspended the players’ dues after falling short in the round 16 of the Egyptian Cup competition.
Having secured knockout stage spot in the Confederation Cup, the leadership of Al Masry have decided to settle their arrears.
The draw for the Confederation Cup quarter-finals will take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the headquarters of the Football Association in 6th of October City.
The Egyptian team awaits a quarter-final match against either CR Belouizdad or USM Alger of Algeria, or Wydad Casablanca of Morocco.
