Al-Masry have pulled off a late swoop to strengthen their squad, securing the signature of French left-back Kylian Carsenty just hours before the Egyptian Premier League registration deadline.
The Port Said club confirmed the deal on Monday, describing it as a key addition to their defensive options.
The 19-year-old Carsenty brings pedigree from Europe, having developed in Monaco’s youth system before a short stint with Italian side Gelbison in the summer of 2024. He then joined Lazio’s youth ranks last December, gaining valuable experience before moving to Egypt on a free transfer.
Al-Masry’s board moved swiftly to finalise the transfer, ensuring the young defender could be registered in time for the new season. Fans will be eager to see if his European grounding translates into solid performances in the domestic league.
Carsenty joins as part of a wider recruitment drive that has seen Al-Masry add Algerian striker Mondher Tamine from CS Constantine, midfielder Omar Al-Saai on loan from Al-Ahly, and Rwandan midfielder Bonor Migueisha from Stade Tunisien.
