Al Masry SC have moved quickly to secure the future of key winger Abderrahim Deghmoum, handing him a new two-year contract with an option for a third.
The club’s president, Kamel Abu Ali, met with the Algerian on Friday morning, with the talks ending in Deghmoum’s official signature on the renewed deal.
Deghmoum had attracted interest from several clubs, including Ceramica Cleopatra and Al-Ahly Bank, following stalled negotiations with Zamalek. Despite the attention, the 26-year-old has opted to continue his journey with Al Masry.
Since joining from Algerian side ES Setif in August 2022, Deghmoum has been a consistent figure on the wing. He has made 51 appearances in the Egyptian League, contributing four goals and five assists.
Al Masry have been active in the transfer market this summer, bringing in Omar Al-Saai from Al-Ahly and Algerian striker Mondher Tamine from CS Constantine. The club has also appointed Tunisian coach Nabil Kouki, signaling their intent to compete strongly in the upcoming season.
Dagmoum’s extension offers stability as Al Masry reshapes for the future.
