Al Masry beat Dibba Al Fujairah 3-2 in pre-season friendly
Al Masry began their preparations for the 2026-27 season with a 3-2 victory over UAE side Dibba Al Fujairah in a friendly match in Ismailia on Monday.
The Egyptian club are holding their pre-season camp in the city as they build towards the new campaign, with Mohamed El Shamy scoring twice and Mostafa Abou El Kheir adding the other goal.
The result gave Al Masry a winning start to their preparations, although Dibba Al Fujairah scored twice in a match that produced five goals.
Al Masry are preparing to compete in the Egyptian Premier League during the 2026-27 season. They finished fifth in the league table last season and will now use their training camp and friendly fixtures to continue shaping their squad before the start of the new domestic campaign.
El Shamy was the decisive player in the match, finding the net twice, while Abou El Kheir completed Al Masry’s scoring. The victory was secured at a time when the club are also working to integrate a number of new signings into the team.
Al Masry have so far made six additions to their squad. Their recruits include goalkeeper Mohamed Ahmed Seha from Al Ahly, Yassin El Mallah from Pharco, Moroccan defender Abdallah El Zayani from Difaa Hassani El Jadidi, Mostafa El Ash from Al Ahly, Mohamed Shokry from Al Ahly and Khair El Din Toual from ES Setif.
The friendly was played in Ismailia, where Al Masry are based for their preparations ahead of the new season. The camp is intended to help the squad develop its readiness for the demands of the Egyptian Premier League and allow the club’s new arrivals to settle into the team.
With the league campaign still to come, Al Masry’s win over Dibba Al Fujairah represents an early positive result during their build-up. Their fifth-place finish last season provides the starting point for the club’s efforts to improve in 2026-27.
The match was played on Monday, 3 August 2026.
