Al-Ittihad has made a significant move in its pursuit of Moroccan winger Soufiane Rahimi, officially submitting a $20 million bid to Al-Ain FC on Monday, June 24.

The Saudi club announced the offer via its official X account, revealing its intent to secure Rahimi’s services on a three-year contract.

The proposed deal includes a lucrative salary, aiming to attract the talented left winger who has just one year remaining on his current contract with Al-Ain FC.

Since joining Al-Ain in August 2021, Rahimi has achieved remarkable success, making him a highly sought-after player.

The 28-year-old, originally from Casablanca, has won all possible titles with the Emirati club.

This season alone, Rahimi was a standout performer in the AFC Champions League, finishing as both the best player and the top scorer with eight goals.

Additionally, in the UAE Pro League, he contributed eight goals and four assists, further showcasing his offensive prowess.

Rahimi’s accomplishments with Al-Ain have solidified his reputation as a key player, but with all titles already secured, the Moroccan may be ready for a new challenge.

The substantial offer from Al-Ittihad reflects the Saudi club’s ambition and the high regard in which they hold Rahimi.

“Rahimi has been instrumental in our successes, and while it would be difficult to see him go, we understand the lure of a new challenge,” a source close to Al-Ain FC commented.

Al-Ittihad’s offer of approximately 73 million Saudi riyals signifies their commitment to strengthening their squad with top talent.

The club’s willingness to invest heavily in Rahimi underscores their strategic objectives for the upcoming seasons.

If Rahimi accepts the offer, he would join a roster of esteemed players in the Saudi Pro League, further elevating the competition’s profile.

Al-Ittihad is keen to enhance its attacking options and views Rahimi’s acquisition as a critical step in achieving its goals.

The likelihood of Rahimi embracing this new opportunity seems high, given his current contract situation and the fresh challenges that await in the Saudi Pro League.

For Al-Ain, the potential transfer represents a significant financial gain and an opportunity to reinvest in new talents.

As negotiations progress, both clubs and fans eagerly await Rahimi’s decision.

His next move will undoubtedly impact the competitive dynamics of the leagues involved and set a precedent for future high-profile transfers in the region.

This development is a testament to the growing financial power and attractiveness of the Saudi Pro League, which continues to lure top-tier talent from around the globe.

For Rahimi, this could be the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his already illustrious career.
