Saudi Pro League giants Al Ittihad have reportedly stepped up their interest in FC Metz midfielder Alpha Amadou Touré, with the club understood to have formally approached the French side over a potential transfer.

The 20-year-old Senegalese midfielder has become one of the players attracting significant attention during the current summer transfer window, with clubs from both Saudi Arabia and Spain monitoring his situation.

Al Ittihad are believed to have communicated their interest directly to Metz, opening the possibility of negotiations for the young midfielder. The Saudi club are understood to be keen to strengthen their squad with emerging talent and have identified Touré as a player with considerable potential.

Touré’s current contract with Metz runs until June 2028, meaning the French club are under no immediate pressure to sell and can demand a substantial transfer fee for his services.

Al Ittihad are not the only Saudi club following the midfielder. Al-Diraiyah have also reportedly been monitoring Touré closely and could potentially make their own approach as the transfer window progresses.

The competition for his signature extends to Spain, where La Liga club Elche have expressed an interest in the Senegalese prospect.

Elche could reportedly submit a formal proposal to Metz in the coming days, having already made contact with Touré’s lawyer to discuss the possibility of a move.

The growing interest has placed Metz in a strong position as they consider the future of the midfielder. The French club are reportedly targeting a transfer fee in the region of €5 million to €7 million if they decide to part company with the youngster.

For Metz, a potential sale would represent a significant financial return, while Touré now has several options to consider as he weighs up the next step in his development.

A move to Saudi Arabia would offer the midfielder an opportunity to experience the rapidly growing Saudi Pro League, while a transfer to Spain could provide him with a route into one of Europe’s major leagues.

With Al Ittihad having already made their interest known and Elche preparing a possible offer, the coming weeks could prove decisive for Touré’s future.
