Al-Ittihad eye move for Morocco defender Nayef Aguerd
Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd, currently at Marseille, has been linked with a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
The 30-year-old centre-back joined Marseille from West Ham United for €23m on 1 September 2025 and has a contract with the Ligue 1 club until 30 June 2030.
Aguerd has made 107 Ligue 1 appearances and scored 10 goals during his career in France. He also helped Morocco win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025 and was part of the West Ham team that won the Conference League in the 2022-23 season.
His current market value is listed at €15m, although there is no indication that Marseille have agreed a fee with Al-Ittihad or that a transfer is close.
Aguerd began his senior career with Moroccan club FUS Rabat before moving to Dijon in 2018. He joined Rennes in 2020 and moved to West Ham two years later, subsequently spending the 2024-25 season on loan at Real Sociedad before making his permanent move to Marseille.
