Alexandria’s renowned football club, Al Ittihad Alexandria, popularly known as “Za’im Al Thaghr” (The Leader of the Canal), is set to clash with Ceramica Cleopatra in the semi-final stage of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association League Cup 2023-2024.
The highly anticipated match is scheduled for February 6th, kicking off at 7:30 PM local time at the Alexandria Stadium.
Both Al Ittihad Alexandria and Tala’ea Al Gaish secured their spots in the semi-finals after defeating El Gouna and ENPPI, respectively.
The semi-final matches are set to take place on February 6th, with Tala’ea Al Gaish facing Al Masry at the Borg El Arab Stadium at 4:30 PM, while Al Ittihad Alexandria hosts Ceramica Cleopatra at the Alexandria Stadium at 7:30 PM.
Ceramica Cleopatra secured their place in the semi-finals with a 2-0 victory over Smouha, defending their title in the competition.
Additionally, Al Masry overcame Pyramids with a score of 3-1, earning the Port Said-based club the fourth qualification to the semi-finals.
Mohamed Mesilhi, the President of Al Ittihad Alexandria, met with Tarek El Ashry, the head coach of the first football team, emphasizing the need to maintain the momentum of victories and strive for victory in the Egyptian League Cup.
This comes following the team’s positive results in the earlier stages of the competition.
