Egyptian outfit Al-Ittihad Alexandria have parted ways with Cypriot coach Nikodemos Papavasiliou.
Al-Ittihad has struggled to find their rhythm under the manager, failing to score in their last six games.
With 9 points from 7 games, Al-Ittihad find themselves in the 10th position on the Premier League standings.
However, the club has decided to sever ties with the Cypriot coach following a string of unimpressive results.
“The board of directors, headed by Mohamed Moselhi, decided to dismiss coach Papavasiliou and his assistant staff.” wrote the club.
Al-Ittihad are currently considering three coaches for the vacant coaching job.
Talat Youssef, who is the former coach of Modern Sport and former technical director of Enppi and Modern FC, Tamer Mustafa have all emerged as candidate for the job.
Meanwhile, Al-Tahadi Al-Libi coach Khaled Galal is said to be a candidate for the coaching job.
