Saudi Pro League leaders Al Hilal have stunned the football world by officially announcing the signing of Karim Benzema, completing a sensational transfer for the former Real Madrid star.
The French striker makes the switch from domestic rivals and reigning champions Al Ittihad, where he most recently served as team captain.
The move represents one of the most high-profile transfers in Saudi football, given the stature of the player and the rivalry between the two clubs.

Despite being 38 years old, Benzema has continued to deliver impressive performances since arriving in Saudi Arabia.
Across 84 appearances, the former France star, who is of Algerian descent, has scored 54 goals and provided 17 assists, underlining his continued influence and quality at the highest level.
Benzema’s arrival is expected to further strengthen Al Hilal’s title charge as they look to maintain their position at the top of the Saudi Pro League standings.
The Riyadh-based side currently sits one point clear of Al Nassr, and the addition of the former Ballon d’Or winner signals a clear statement of intent for the remainder of the season.
