Al-Hilal prepare fresh €120m-plus offer for Morocco and PSG star Achraf Hakimi
Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal are reportedly preparing another attempt to sign Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi from Paris Saint-Germain, with the club considering a huge financial offer that could exceed €120 million during the upcoming winter transfer window.
The Saudi outfit remain keen on strengthening their squad with established international stars and have identified the PSG right-back as one of their priority targets.
According to reports, Al-Hilal previously made a €120 million offer for the Moroccan defender shortly before the last transfer window closed, but PSG rejected the proposal.
The French champions are understood to have no intention of parting ways with Hakimi, whom they consider an integral part of their long-term sporting project.
PSG’s position is reportedly backed by sporting director Luís Campos and head coach Luis Enrique, who both recognise the defender’s importance to the team’s tactical structure and overall performances.
Despite the financial power of the Saudi club, the Parisian side are not believed to be willing to negotiate his departure, particularly given the difficulty of finding a suitable replacement for a player of his quality.
Hakimi has established himself as one of the leading right-backs in world football, combining exceptional pace, attacking ability and technical quality with an impressive capacity to influence matches at the highest level.
His contribution goes beyond his performances on the pitch, with the 27-year-old also serving as captain of the Moroccan national team and playing an important leadership role within the PSG dressing room.
Al-Hilal, however, are reportedly determined to test PSG’s resolve again, with a renewed bid potentially exceeding €120 million being considered for January.
The proposed figure would be significantly higher than Hakimi’s estimated market value of around €80 million, underlining the scale of the Saudi club’s interest.
However, any potential deal faces a major obstacle in PSG’s reluctance to sell. Hakimi remains under contract with the French club until June 2029, giving the European champions considerable control over his future and placing them in a strong negotiating position.
For now, Al-Hilal’s reported interest remains at the level of a potential approach, with no agreement between the clubs or indication that PSG are prepared to sanction the Moroccan defender’s departure.
