Saudi side Al-Hazem target Kawkab Marrakech goalkeeper Mohamed Al-Jamjami

Saudi club Al-Hazem have reportedly turned their attention to Kawkab Marrakech goalkeeper Mohamed Al-Jamjami as they look to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer window.

Al-Hazem had previously considered a move for Wydad Athletic Club goalkeeper Mehdi Ben Abid, but the Moroccan club’s financial demands made a deal difficult to complete.

The Saudi side have consequently shifted their focus to a potentially less expensive option, with Al-Jamjami now under consideration.

Al-Hazm yet to make formal offer

According to a source, Al-Hazem are studying the possibility of signing Al-Jamjami but have not yet submitted an official offer to Kawkab Marrakech.

The Saudi club are expected to decide in the coming period whether to move forward with formal negotiations for the Moroccan goalkeeper.

Al-Hazem are understood to be weighing their options as they seek to find an agreement that fits their financial requirements.

Kawkab set asking price

Kawkab Marrakech had previously demanded 400 million centimes for the remaining period of Al-Jamjami’s contract to be released to Wydad during the summer transfer window.

That figure could become an important factor if Al-Hazem decide to proceed with their interest in the goalkeeper.

The Saudi club’s move for Al-Jamjami is understood to be largely driven by financial considerations after they were unable to find an agreement with Wydad over Ben Abid.
