Al-Fateh sign French-Sudanese right-back Ali Alamine on free transfer
France and Sudan defender Ali Alamine has joined Saudi Pro League club Al-Fateh on a free transfer, giving the 21-year-old right-back his next opportunity after leaving Olympique Lyonnais B.
Alamine completed the move on 14 September 2026 after becoming a free agent at the end of his time with Lyon’s reserve side. He has signed a contract with Al-Fateh until 30 June 2028.
The right-footed defender spent the 2025-26 campaign with Lyon B, making 24 appearances in National 2 and scoring once. He also featured 11 times in the Premier League International Cup Under-21 competition during his time in Lyon’s system.
Alamine’s record includes further experience in French youth and lower-league football. He played 23 matches for Lyon’s Under-19 side and scored three goals, having previously made 17 appearances for Lyon’s National 3 team, where he found the net twice.
Born in Omdurman, Alamine joined Lyon’s youth set-up in 2020. He progressed from the club’s youth team to the Under-17 side before moving into the Under-19 squad in 2022. His promotion to Lyon B followed in July 2024, and he remained there until his departure at the end of June 2026.
The move to Al-Fateh marks Alamine’s first recorded senior club transfer outside France. He joins a Saudi top-flight side after building his experience primarily through Lyon’s development structure and appearances in National 2.
Alamine is listed as a defender whose main position is right-back, and his arrival gives Al-Fateh a player with experience across reserve, youth and domestic competition in France.
His switch from Lyon B to Al-Fateh was completed as a free transfer on 14 September 2026.
