The image referred to an incident during the match in which Ronaldo went down inside Al Ain’s box while attempting to attack. There appeared to be no obvious contact with an Al Ain player, and footage of the moment quickly circulated on social media.

The incident attracted considerable attention among Al Nassr supporters, while Al Ain fans responded to the Portugal forward’s fall with mockery after their side secured a notable victory over the Saudi Arabian club.
