Al Ain FC to have pre-season in Morocco and Spain
Al Ain FC will begin preparations for the upcoming season with a structured two-phase pre-season training camp split between Morocco and Spain, as the club looks to build momentum ahead of a demanding campaign.
Structured Pre-Season Plan Across Two Countries
According to Emarat Alyoum, the UAE powerhouse will open their pre-season with an intensive training period in Morocco, where the squad will also take part in a series of friendly matches designed to sharpen fitness and tactical cohesion.
After completing the first phase, the team will travel to Spain for the final leg of their summer preparations, continuing their build-up ahead of the new season.
Medical Tests Kick Off Preparations
Official preparations are expected to begin in the second week of July, when players will undergo mandatory medical examinations. Immediately after the check-ups, the full squad will depart for Morocco to begin on-field training.
Familiar Approach After Last Season’s Success
This two-country preparation model is not new for Al Ain, as the club followed a similar schedule last year with camps in Morocco and Spain.
That previous build-up ended on a high note, with victory in the friendly Granada Cup, setting the tone for a successful season in which the club went on to win both the UAE Pro League and the President’s Cup.
Rahimi Set to Join After International Duty
Soufiane Rahimi will link up with his teammates later in the camp after being granted an extended rest period due to his ongoing FIFA World Cup involvement.
The 30-year-old has been a key figure for Al Ain across the 2025/26 season, registering 23 appearances in all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing 3 assists as he helped the club secure both the UAE Pro League and President’s Cup titles.
Focus on Sustained Domestic and Continental Success
Al Ain head into the new season aiming to defend their domestic dominance while also remaining competitive across all competitions. A major focus will be maintaining strong performances in the AFC Champions League Elite as the club looks to build on recent success.
