The Egyptian Football Association has announced that the highly anticipated Egyptian Premier League clash between Al-Ahly and Smouha has been postponed.
Originally scheduled for December 22, the match will now take place on January 7 at the Cairo International Stadium.
The decision follows the rescheduling of Al-Ahly’s match against Shabab Belouizdad in the third round of the CAF Champions League group stage. That game was moved from December 13 to December 22 to accommodate the Red Devils’ participation in the Intercontinental Cup.
In addition, the Egyptian Football Association has confirmed that the match between Smouha and Modern Sport will now be held at Alexandria Stadium on January 12.
Both Al-Ahly and Smouha have been notified of the decision to postpone their upcoming game in December and are expected to prepare for the game on the new date accordingly.
