Al Ahly are facing growing tension as the club stalls contract renewal talks with four key first team players.

The contracts of Aliou Dieng, Ahmed Abdelkader, Hussein El Shahat, and Ahmed Nabil Koka expire at season’s end with no progress.

A club source told Kooora that the only agreement finalized was Karim Fouad’s contract, which was renewed earlier by sporting director Mohamed Youssef during his time as acting director of football.

The source added, “Aliou Dieng left to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco without signing a new deal, and Ahmed Abdelkader’s financial demands are high.”

“Ahmed Nabil Koka received an offer from Portugal after renewal talks with him were delayed, and although there is a preliminary agreement with El Shahat, the player is asking for a two-year contract plus an optional third year with mutual consent.”

On the field, the technical team plans to face Ghazl El Mahalla on Tuesday night with a youthful lineup, reinforced only by El Shahat and Mohamed Seiha, while keeping focus on Saturday’s Egypt Cup meeting with Misr Al Etesalat.
