Egyptian giants, Al Ahly have been dealt a massive blow as winger Ahmed Sayed Zizo is expected to spend time on the sidelines following an injury setback.
Zizo felt discomfort and had to be replaced by Hussein El Shahat in the 30-th-minute mark, as his outfit played out a 1-1 draw with National Bank in the Premier League clash, held at the Cairo International Stadium on Tuesday.
Following scans, the enterprising forward has been diagnosed with a second-degree strain in his hamstring, ruling him out of action for close to a month.
This come as a huge blow for Al Ahly, who are competing for major titles in the 2025/26 football campaign. Al Ahly are in contention for the Premier League and the CAF Champions League title at large.
With this setback, Zizo is expected to miss at least five matches for Al Ahly both domestically and internationally. He is line to miss their games against JS Kabylie, Ismaily, Raja Casablanca, El Gouna, and Smouha SC.
The Egyptian giants has now stumbled for the third time in their last four matches in the ongoing campaign, threatening their league title chances.
The 30-year-old forward has made 18 appearances across competitions this season, scoring four goals and delivering seven assists.
