Al Ahly weighs left flank options as Yahya Zakaria and Youssef Belammari monitored
Al Ahly has turned its attention to strengthening the left side of the pitch, with the club carefully weighing potential signings ahead of the coming fixtures.
The Red Castle has placed Ghazl El Mahalla’s promising defender Yahya Zakaria and Raja Casablanca’s Moroccan talent Youssef Belammari under close watch as possible reinforcements.
A source revealed to Kooora that both the previous technical staff led by Spaniard José Ribeiro and the current interim team under Emad El Nahhas agree on the urgent need for a new left-back.
“The Talent and Scouting Department is closely monitoring the performance of Yahya Zakaria and , and a comprehensive report will be submitted to the technical staff to choose the most suitable between them.”
“If Moroccan Achraf Dari remains with Al Ahly, it will be difficult to sign a new foreign player, which could open the door to signing Yahya Zakaria, who has been performing exceptionally well this season and has plenty of room for improvement.”
Al Ahly next faces Enppi on Sunday in the Egyptian Premier League under interim coach Emad El Nahhas.
