The Egyptian giants are set to earn around $360,000 following the midfielder’s transfer from Ceramica Cleopatra, thanks to a smart 20% resale clause they inserted when selling him. Ceramica Cleopatra reportedly completed the deal for $1.8 million, allowing Al Ahly to benefit financially without lifting a finger.

According to a source at Ceramica, the club has finalized Kendouci’s sale and Al Ahly is already putting the money to work.

Al Ahly plans to use the funds to permanently sign left-back Mohammed Shoukry and also finalize Karim Nedved’s move to Ceramica. With Tunisian veteran Ali Maaloul leaving and Moroccan Yahya Attiat Allah not being retained from Sochi, the left-back role is a top priority.

The source also confirmed that Al Ahly won’t pay extra to land Shoukry. Instead, the Kendouci resale cut and Nedved’s transfer value will cover it all, smart business by the Cairo club as they prepare for another big
