Al Ahly will show their CAF Confederation Cup return match against Uganda’s Kitara exclusively on the club’s television channel.
The decision was approved by Al Ahly’s board, chaired by Mahmoud El Khatib, during a meeting held on Tuesday. The match, described as the second leg of the preliminary round and as a last-32 tie, will take place at Cairo Stadium on 25 October.
The first leg is scheduled for 17 October, with the return fixture taking place eight days later in Cairo.
Kitara qualified for the Confederation Cup after winning the Uganda Cup, while Al Ahly finished third in the Egyptian Premier League. The Egyptian club will compete in the tournament alongside fellow Egyptian side ZED.
Zamalek and Pyramids, meanwhile, will represent Egypt in the CAF Champions League.
Kitara began their campaign with a 4-1 victory over Somalia’s Muqdisho City Club in the second leg of the first preliminary round. They had won the opening match 2-1, completing a 6-2 aggregate success.
Al Ahly will have two domestic fixtures before meeting Kitara. They are due to face Petrojet in the Egypt Capital Cup after the international break, followed by a league match against Zamalek.
The team will also play Al Qanah in the seventh round of the league between the two matches against Kitara.
