Al Ahly sweating over Youssef Belammari fitness ahead of Smouha clash

Al Ahly SC are closely monitoring the condition of Moroccan international Youssef Belammari ahead of their upcoming league encounter with Smouha SC.

Belammari, who joined the Cairo giants during the winter transfer window from Raja Casablanca, has quickly established himself as an important figure in the squad.

In just a handful of appearances, he has impressed the technical staff and cemented his place among the key options in the team.

According to Egyptian outlet Al-Watan Sport, concerns arose after the midfielder sustained a minor injury ahead of the highly anticipated 19th round Premier League fixture.

The report indicated that Belamri experienced hand pain following his involvement in the recent match against El Gouna FC.

Dr. Ahmed Jaballah, head of Al Ahly’s medical department, reportedly assessed the player and oversaw his treatment. Initial evaluations suggest that the injury is not serious and should not rule him out of the clash against Smouha.

The same source noted that Belammari is still expected to feature in the starting lineup, having earned the confidence of the coaching staff after delivering a solid performance in the El Gouna fixture.

Al Ahly are set to travel to Borg El Arab Stadium on Monday night for the 9:30 pm kickoff, where they will look to maintain momentum in the 19th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
