Egyptian midfielder Emam Ashour has reacted to his injury at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The player suffered a broken collarbone injury during the match against Inter Miami on Saturday night in the opening match of the Club World Cup.

In a statement today, Emam Ashour admitted that it has not been easy for him.

He further extended appreciation to the Al Ahly fans for their support and prayers, assuring that he is determined to come back stronger.

“Whatever God has destined for you will come to you, and whatever He has not destined for you will not befall you. Praise be to God for everything. The injury was difficult and happened in my first moments in the tournament. This is God’s will and we must accept it.

“I wish I could have been there and fought with my brothers on the field, but this is my fate. Now I am going to have the surgery, and God willing, I will come back stronger,” Emam Ashour said.

He continued, “The feelings I have inside me right now are not easy, but what keeps me steadfast is my belief in your support and prayers.”

Checks have revealed that Emam Ashour is unlikely to feature again for Al Ahly at the 2025 FIFA World Cup after the injury against Inter Miami.
