Al Ahly winger has taken a swift action against his former employers Zamalek over unpaid £83,000 arrears.
The 29-year-old departed the Whites Castle last month to join sworn-rivals Al Ahly, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.
Amid controversies surrounding the move, Zizo has dragged Zamalek to the Egyptian FA demanding for his unpaid financial dues.
Filling the complaint through his lawyer, Ashraf Abdel Aziz, Zizo demanded his former employers is obligated to pay £83,000 in overdue dues, in addition to bonuses for winning the last edition of the Egypt Cup.
Zizo’s camp complaints that the player’s contract ended in the 2024-2025 season, and that the value of the player’s third and final season with Zamalek amounted to 30.8 million pounds, to be paid in ten monthly installments, each installment worth 3 million pounds, of which Zamalek Club paid the player 1.8 million pounds, and the remaining installments due were not paid on their due dates in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract, as Zamalek Sports Club is owed 23.9 million pounds in addition to the installments due.
Zizo’s lawyer stressed the need to oblige Zamalek to pay the financial dues owed to the complainant player and the bonus for winning the Egypt Cup for the 2024-2025 season.
