Al Ahly has made its stance clear, Mohamed Abdalla is not going anywhere.
As interest grows in the club’s promising young winger, Al Ahly has turned down two official transfer offers during the current summer window. One came from Saudi Arabia, the other from French side Le Havre.
Despite the appeal of a European move or the lure of the Gulf league, the club’s technical team, led by Jose Riveiro, has chosen to hold on to the 20-year-old talent.
“Mohamed Abdalla received two offers,” a source from Al Ahly revealed to Kooora. “The matter was presented to Al-Ahly’s technical staff, led by Jose Riveiro, who insisted on the player staying and not leaving this summer.”
“The player was informed that he will continue with the team, given Al Ahly’s need for his efforts.”
Abdalla is now expected to play a key role in Al Ahly’s plans for the upcoming Egyptian Premier League season, starting with their opening match against Modern Sport.
Al Ahly fans can look forward to watching one of their own flourish in red a little longer.
