Al Ahly has stepped up its summer rebuild with the official signing of promising left-back Mohamed Shokry from Ceramica Cleopatra.
The move underlines the Cairo giants’ intent to bolster their squad depth as they look ahead to a new chapter of dominance in Egyptian and continental football.
The club confirmed on its website that Sporting Director Mohamed Youssef finalized the transfer in full coordination with President Mahmoud El-Khatib, who also serves as the general supervisor of the football sector.
Shokry penned a five-year deal, becoming the latest addition in a string of ambitious summer signings aimed at rejuvenating the team.
Before Shokry, Al Ahly had already secured the services of key names including Ahmed Mostafa Zizo, Yassin Marei, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Mohamed Siha, Mustafa Al-Ash, Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, and Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan.
While excitement grows among fans, the club has yet to officially unveil Mohamed Sherif, despite wrapping up all terms related to his deal.
