Al Ahly will sharpen their preseason form with a test against Algerian side CR Belouizdad on July 25 as part of their training camp in Tabarka, Tunisia.
The Egyptian giants finalized a friendly with Belouizdad after a reshuffle in their preparatory plans.
“The company organizing the camp has proposed three friendly matches against CS Constantine, Esperance, and Etoile Sportive du Sahel,” a source from Al Ahly told Kooora.
However, the plans took a turn when the Esperance (Taraji) camp pulled out of the arrangement.
“Taraji apologized due to a friendly match scheduled for the same time. A search was conducted for another team, and an agreement was reached with Chabab Belouizdad,” the source added.
Al Ahly are scheduled to resume training next Monday in Cairo, where the squad will undergo physical measurements before heading to Tunisia on Friday.
The Tabarka camp is part of the club’s buildup to the new season, as they aim to stay sharp and ready for domestic and continental challenges. The match against Belouizdad will be a key test of their preseason readiness.
