Al-Ahly set to remove Achraf Dari from squad list to register Youssef Belammari
Officials of Egyptian giants Al-Ahly have reached an agreement with Moroccan international defender Achraf Dari to remove his name from the club’s squad list, paving the way for the registration of his compatriot Youssef Belammari during the ongoing winter transfer window.
According to Egyptian newspaper “Al-Youm Al-Sabaa,” Al-Ahly’s management is actively seeking an external offer for Dari in the transfer market, as the club explores options to offload the defender following the decision to adjust the squad.
The report revealed that recent hours have brought a breakthrough, with an offer arriving to sign the Moroccan defender.
However, negotiations remain ongoing due to differences over the player’s salary demands and the transfer fee proposed to Al-Ahly, issues that are currently being discussed between the parties involved.
The same source added that Al-Ahly have already completed the signing of Youssef Belammari, having secured his services a few days ago on a contract lasting two and a half seasons, with an option for an additional third season.
The move signals Al-Ahly’s intention to restructure their defensive options as the season progresses.
