Al Ahly will face Zamalek in the third-place play-off at the 2026 Handball Club World Cup after defeating German side Fuchse Berlin 30-27 in their final group-stage match.
The tournament is being held in Egypt at the indoor arena in the New Administrative Capital.
The all-Egyptian meeting between Al Ahly and Zamalek will take place on Thursday, 1 October, with the match scheduled to begin at 17:30 Cairo time.
The game will be broadcast on ON Sport, with Khaled Khairy providing commentary.
The Handball Club World Cup final will be contested by Spanish club Barcelona and Hungarian side Veszprem.
Veszprem’s squad includes four Egyptian players: Ahmed Adel “Dola”, Yahia El-Deraa, Ali Zein and Ahmed Hesham “Dodo”.
