Al Ahly have taken a firm step in reshaping their squad ahead of the new season by signing Ceramica Cleopatra left-back Mohamed Shokry on a permanent basis.
The Egyptian giants made the move official during the ongoing summer transfer window, signaling a fresh start after their early Club World Cup exit. The team is expected to regroup for training next Monday after an 18-day break, ready to bounce back stronger.
A source confirmed to Kooora that Mohamed Shokry is now an Al Ahly player for good, and Ahmed Ramadan Beckham’s loan move has also been made permanent.
Meanwhile, Ceramica Cleopatra have secured a one-season loan for Al Ahly’s Karim El-Dabbas, while also purchasing Khaled Abdel-Fattah and Karim Nedved outright.
Talks between both clubs are ongoing as they work through a financial settlement. Al Ahly are due a percentage of the resale fee from their former midfielder Ahmed El-Kandousi, who recently moved to Swiss side Logan.
