Junior Dion on the radar of top Egyptian clubs

Several Egyptian Premier League clubs have intensified their interest in Chadian striker Junior Dion following his impressive performances for South African side Golden Arrows during the 2025/26 season.

According to reports, Egyptian giants Al Ahly, Pyramids FC and Ceramica Cleopatra are all closely monitoring the 27-year-old as they look to strengthen their attacking departments ahead of the new campaign.

The three clubs are believed to be evaluating the striker’s profile before deciding whether to enter into formal negotiations with Golden Arrows during the current summer transfer window.

Dion has established himself as one of the standout forwards in the South African top flight, earning widespread praise for his clinical finishing, intelligent movement and ability to create problems for opposition defences.

His outstanding performances saw him finish the 2025/26 South African league season as the division’s top scorer, netting 14 goals in 27 appearances to claim the Golden Boot and significantly boost his stock ahead of the transfer window.

The Chadian international has also enjoyed a productive professional career, making 130 appearances across all competitions. During that time, he has scored 40 goals and provided five assists, underlining his consistency in front of goal.

His prolific campaign has attracted interest from some of Egypt’s biggest clubs, with Al Ahly, Pyramids FC and Ceramica Cleopatra all exploring the possibility of signing him before the start of the 2026/27 season.

If any of the interested clubs submit an official offer, Golden Arrows could face a battle to keep hold of one of the Premier Soccer League’s most in-form strikers, whose performances have made him one of the hottest properties on the African transfer market this summer.
