Al Ahly are preparing for a busy summer as they look to strengthen four key areas of their squad once the season ends, a club source has confirmed.
Despite rumors, the Red Giants are not planning to recall forward Mohamed Abdelmoneim “El Kahba” from Libya’s Al Ittihad.
The source firmly dismissed speculation, saying: “Kahba is one of the club’s sons, but there has been no communication with him after his final transfer to Al-Ittihad in January.”
Following the departure of head coach Marcel Koller, the Egyptian champions are looking ahead to a fresh chapter. However, the source stressed that no signings will be made until the current campaign concludes.
“Al Ahly has closed the file of transfers or recruiting players due to the focus on the remaining four matches in the Premier League,” the source added.
With the league still in play, all attention remains on finishing strong. But behind the scenes, preparations are already underway to reshape the squad and address weaknesses before the next season kicks off.
