Al Ahly has once again shown its commitment to its players by paying Ahmed Abdelkader two million pounds as an advance on his new season contract, even though his future with the team remains uncertain.
Abdelkader recently returned from his loan at Qatar SC but is looking to leave the Red Devils, with only one year left on his contract. Offers came from Saudi side Al Hazem and Ceramica Cleopatra, yet he turned them down. The midfielder has made it clear that he will either remain with Al Ahly or look to end his contract completely.
A source inside the club confirmed that Abdelkader received his advance payment, which represents 25% of his annual contract, just like the rest of his teammates.
The twist, however, is that Abdelkader has already reached an agreement with Zamalek officials to join them as a free player in the summer of 2026. Despite this, Al Ahly chose to honor its side of the deal by fulfilling the financial obligation.
